What does being part of this community of women lawyers mean to you?
Being part of this community of women lawyers means having the opportunity to both give back and continue to grow. For me, one of the most meaningful aspects is mentorship. After 16 years of practice, I have learned a great deal—often through experience—and I enjoy mentoring younger women attorneys as they navigate their professional lives. If I can help someone avoid a mistake, recognize an opportunity, or achieve success a little sooner because of something I’ve learned, that is incredibly rewarding.
MDFAWL has also given me something equally valuable: a community. It has created opportunities to form meaningful friendships that I might never have made otherwise and provided countless opportunities to connect with exceptional women through networking, leadership, and programming. Those relationships have enriched both my career and my life, and they are what make this MDFAWL community so special to me.
