Practice areas.

Complex commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, cross border disputes, and international judgment enforcement and asset recovery.

What drew you to this practice area?

I feel most fulfilled advocating for my firm's clients in court. I'm drawn to complex legal challenges — particularly in my cross-border practice, where I help clients unfamiliar with the U.S. legal system understand and use it effectively to resolve their disputes.

A case, matter, or project you're especially proud of.

I am most proud of my pro bono work as an attorney ad litem in which I represent a medically vulnerable infant in an ongoing foster care matter.

Who has been a mentor or role model in your career, and what did you learn from them?

Gabriela Ruiz has taught me how to be a fierce advocate for my clients while leading with empathy, kindness, and understanding.

What's the best part of being involved in the legal community here in Florida?

The best part of being involved in Florida's legal community is its truly international character. Miami sits at the crossroads of the U.S. and Latin America, so the bar here reflects the multicultural nature of clients and the community.

One word your colleagues would use to describe you.

Thoughtful.

If you weren't practicing law, what would you be doing?

I would be working as an urban planner!
