When and why did you join MDFAWL?
I joined MDFAWL two years ago as a first-year associate. I joined MDFAWL because I was looking for a bar association that gave me both the opportunity to expand my network and meaningful lasting relationships. I realized MDFAWL was the right association for me after attending a cocktail event and connecting with several impressive women who were very open and willing to share their personal experiences and insights into the practice of law.
What type of legal work do you do?
I assist clients with corporate matters with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, private placements of debt and equity securities, and corporate governance.
What was your most rewarding professional achievement?
As a young associate, I think it is hard to find one achievement that is most rewarding, but working with startup companies to help them on everything from forming their companies to their equity financing is what is most rewarding, because there is something really meaningful in helping individuals accomplish their career goals and start their new companies.
