Where do you work?
I am a partner at Shubin Law Group.
What type of legal work do you do?
I specialize in complex commercial litigation, with a focus on representing developers in disputes related to real property, common interest communities, and various business matters. Having been a litigator throughout my career, I have developed wide-ranging expertise across diverse practice areas, including professional negligence, probate, fraud, tort claims, and appellate work. This broad experience allows me to craft innovative strategies and provide effective solutions to even the most challenging legal issues.
When and why did you join MDFAWL?
I joined MDFAWL in 2024, after my friend and colleague, Liana Kozlowski, highly recommended the organization. She spoke passionately about its mission, and I was eager to contribute to its important work. Since joining, I’ve been continually inspired by the incredible community of members. Looking ahead, I’m excited to deepen my involvement, particularly with the goal of mentoring younger attorneys and students to help them grow in their careers.
What advice do you have for women in the legal profession?
Find the right place and surround yourself with the right people who lift you up.
When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you use it?
“Free time”—what is that?! With a four-year-old and a nine-month-old, spare moments are pretty rare. But honestly, there’s nothing better than spending time on the floor with my girls, whether we’re playing, reading, or trying to keep up with my nine-month-old who just started crawling this week! I’m definitely looking forward to the day when I can sit down for a bit, but for now, I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything.
