When and why did you join MDFAWL?
In early to mid 2024, I reached a place in my professional and personal life where I felt like I could begin adding new organizations to my schedule and have the time and energy to actively participate. MDFAWL was one I had been interested in for years, but I hadn't been in a place where I believed I could be an involved and active member.
What was your most rewarding professional achievement?
As a criminal prosecutor, I have the privilege of seeking justice for victims of crimes. My most rewarding achievement is when one of them reaches out to me to acknowledge the work I put in on their behalf—especially if it comes with a positive update about their life now that their case is resolved.
What advice do you have for women in the legal profession?
Take up space unapologetically. You have earned your degree, your license, your job titles, and your board positions—act like it.
