When and why did you join MDFAWL?
My mentors at DKR, Michelle Suskauer and Scott Dimond, introduced me to the wonderful MDFAWL community right after I was barred and joined the firm in 2022. I became a member of MDFAWL because it's an incredible opportunity to connect with inspiring women and build new friendships in the legal field.
What was your most rewarding professional achievement?
As a young associate, still very early into my career, one of the most rewarding experiences so far has been successfully representing a client in a complex, arbitration case that had significant personal implications for him. After months of hard work, we achieved a favorable outcome that not only met the client’s needs, but also built his confidence in us. Earning his trust and making a meaningful difference in his life was an incredibly, fulfilling experience.
What advice do you have for women in the legal profession?
I want to encourage all women to embrace their unique perspective and voice. You may find yourself to be the only woman in the room, but don't let that stop you from advocating for yourself. Build a strong network of support among women in law and seek opportunities that challenge you! But also remember to prioritize your well-being and maintain a work-life balance that works for you.
