Where do you work?
Everglades Law Center
What type of legal work do you do?
I work for a non-profit law firm that focuses on environmental issues in South Florida. We practice in a number of areas, including Everglades restoration, climate change resilience, sustainable development, and water quality. While we litigate at both the state and federal levels, our attorneys are also actively involved in advocacy and policy work, particularly in Miami-Dade County and Palm Beach County.
What was your most rewarding professional achievement?
As a first-year attorney, the opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators and advocates on a wide variety of environmental issues has been hugely rewarding. Because I work withon such a small team of attorneys, I've been able to jump right into our active litigation and learn a ton in a short amount of time.
When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you use it?
I try to spend as much time outside as possible! As a recent Miami transplant, I've been taking as much advantage of the beautiful weather as I can. Plus, it's important to me to get outside and experience all the incredible scenery and wildlife I work to protect.
