MDFAWL Donates 4,000 Masks to Local Hospitals

Each year, the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (Miami-Dade FAWL) hosts a brunch to honor and celebrate the 38 women who have previously led the voluntary bar association, which is dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in the legal profession.

This year, in lieu of brunch and in honor of the extraordinary women who have led Miami-Dade FAWL, the organization has secured and donated personal protective equipment to two local hospitals – Baptist Health and Mount Sinai Medical Center. Miami-Dade FAWL is sending 4,000 masks (2,000 to each hospital) for distribution to their doctors, nurses and medical staff. We know that during this fight against the deadly COVID-19 virus, these hospitals are struggling to provide its brave healthcare workers with the equipment they need while they care for members of our community, including members of the organization.

Miami-Dade FAWL is grateful for all the healthcare workers in South Florida — for their courage and dedication to being on the front lines. Their work helps not only their patients, but the entire community. This donation is a gesture of gratitude on behalf of Miami-Dade FAWL President Elisa D’Amico and the 38 extraordinary women who came before her as president.
